The Calgary SSEA Board decided at the conclusion of last year, that we should probably seek out a partnership with a local business to assist our organization. Today, we announce that we have found a partnership with a local retailer, Son of the Pharaoh. They were an obvious choice as their two Calgary-based stores stock a variety of Egyptophile goods.
We are fortunate to have this donor as they have agreed to give us some significant items to be raffled off to our lectures throughout this season. We plan to raffle off the first item at our first talk of the 2017 – 2018 season. The aim of these raffled items is to raise money for contributing to the annual Larkman Award, which defers some of the travel costs to the SSEA National Symposium event to a deserving scholar.
Also, members of Calgary group are entitled to a 10% discount at the Son of the Pharaoh stores. To take advantage of this offer, you must request a discount voucher from the ticket desk at our lectures.
