Description:
For our May event, we thought it would be prudent to follow up with a documentary (1 hour) about the discovery of Psusennes I’s burial. The discovery of the tomb in 1940 was overshadowed by global events and its discoverer, Pierre Montet, never achieved the fame as seen with Howard Carter. However, the finds from this tomb are impressive and remain an invaluable source for researching the Third Intermediate Period (1069 – 747 BCE).
Location:
Room EDC 287 in the Education Block at the University of Calgary.
